About the Future ICT Summit

Presented by the Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) and held in association with Injazat Data Systems, and the Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA), the Future ICT Summit is a brand new event designed to support the Abu Dhabi Government as it explores the latest innovations and best practise use of technology for the planned delivery of a modern, efficient and citizen-centric e-Government platform.

The Summit will attract 6,000 leading minds to debate, demonstrate and decide the most effective ways to deploy computer technology and effective telecommunication systems throughout the UAE’s public service sectors.

The international exhibition will provide a platform for more than 100 ICT companies to showcase the latest services and solutions to leading purchasers in the region.

A top level conference  will give 1,000 delegates the opportunity to hear from leading industry experts addressing issues of strategy and implementation.

An extensive programme of round tables will give attendees the opportunity to tackle topics in depth, discuss specific applications and ask questions in small groups.

An official welcome reception will give exhibitors, delegates, speakers and VIPs the chance to meet and relax away from the exhibition hall.

Why now?

Rapid economic development and a growing population has seen the Abu Dhabi Government recognise an urgent need for efficient, transparent and cost-effective ICT systems to support the economic development of Abu Dhabi as it builds a knowledge based economy in line with the 2030 vision.

With ICT expenditure in the Middle East and Africa expected to sustain its robust growth and reach AED231 billion this year alone, Future ICT Summit 2010 emerges as a well-timed initiative for regional and global IT stakeholders to identify new opportunities for growth and reinforce their presence in one of the fastest-growing IT markets in the world.
